Book in process: Kids Are Born to Be Healthy!

Sample of book, part of the Introduction:

KIDS ARE BORN TO BE HEALTHY (not sick!)

Introduction

This book is about health, wellness and our natural birthright of being healthy. Health or wellness should not have to be like pursuing the ever-elusive Holy Grail. It is actually available to all who earnestly seek it.Our biggest problem in America is that we seek it through drugs whether prescription or OTC (over the counter).Health does not come from a bottle or pill. It comes from within and from honoring basic health tenets and principles.

There are many theories about how to be healthy. They come down to two basic concepts or ideas. One is that some people are born with great genetics and they are ‘lucky’ enough to be healthy. The other idea is that health is a result of doing more good things for your mind and body than bad things, (i.e. eating well, exercising and not smoking or taking in harmful substances to the body). There is greater responsibility to the latter concept, which is where this booklet takes the reader into the wellness dimension.

This wellness dimension is all about trusting the body’s amazing and miraculous abilities over the use of man-made drugs and surgery. The U.S. of A outspends every other country by well over a 2:1 ratio on ‘healthcare’ (actually it is sick care, but more on that later), and we use more drugs, both prescription and OTC varieties, than any other country by a staggering amount.

America is spending 1-2 Trillion dollars a year on sick care.We should therefore be the healthiest country on the planet right? Wrong!By about 42 countries. We rank 43rd in terms of health according to World Health Organization statistics. The problem:the sick care model is wrong. So no matter how much money we spend on it, our nation’s health will not improve...
